High blood pressure is present in approximately 80 percent of patients with CKD. High blood pressure is related to CKD in a number of ways. High blood pressure can independently cause CKD, and CKD can cause high blood pressure. The treatment of high blood pressure has become the most important intervention In the management of all forms of CKD. Lowering blood pressure will reduce the risk of heart disease, which for most patients with CKD, is a more immediate threat than end stage renal disease (ESRD). It will also reduce the chance of developing ESRD which requires dialysis or kidney transplantation. A healthy diet with salt reduction to roughly less than five grams (100 mmols sodum) substantially lowers blood pressure regularly and using medications when necessary are vital in reducing the incidence and risk of CKD
የደም ግፊት ሕመም በዓለም
- ከፍተኛ የደም ግፊት በዓለም በስፋት ያለ ሲሆን ወደፊትም ይበልጥ ይስፋፋል ተብሎ ይገመታል፡፡
- በዓለም ጤና ድርጅት ነሐሴ 19 ቀን 2013 ዓ/ም በዓለማችን ላይ በአሁኑ ጊዜ 1.28 ቢሉዮን ግለሰቦች የደም ግፊት አለባቸው ተብሎ ይገመታል፡፡
- ከነዚህም ውስጥ 46% ያህሉ የደም ግፊት እንዳለባቸው አያውቁም
- ከነዚህም ውስጥ 46% ያህሉ የደም ግፊት እንዳለባቸው አያውቁም
- 42% ያህል የደም ግፊት ሕክምና እያገኙ ነው፡፡
- የደም ግፊት ሕክምና ከሚያገኙት መካከል ከ21% በላይ ግለሰቦች የደም ግፊታቸው በሚገባ ተቆጣ
- አብዛኛው የደም ግፊት ታማሚ (ከ65% በላይ) የሚገኘው መካከለኛና ዝቅተኛ ገቢ እና ኢኮኖሚ ባላቸው አገሮች ውስጥ ነው፡፡
- የደም ግፊት ሕመም ስርጭት በአደጉት ሀገሮት 24% ሲያድግ በታዳጊ ሃገሮች በተለይም እንደ አፍሪካ ባሉት ሀገሮች በ80% ያድጋል ተብሎ ይገመታል፡፡
